APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A FOREIGN BANK BRANCH

Notice is hereby given pursuant to subsection 525(2) of the Bank Act that BNP Paribas, a foreign bank incorporated under the laws of France, intends to apply to the Minister of Finance of Canada for an order permitting it to establish a branch in Canada to carry on the business of banking in Canada under its own name, BNP Paribas. The principal office of that foreign bank branch is to be situated in the city of Montréal in the province of Quebec.

Any person who objects to the proposed order may submit an objection in writing to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions of Canada, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2 on or before November 30, 2011.

The publication of this Notice must not be construed as evidence that an order will be issued to establish the foreign bank branch. The granting of the order will be dependent upon the normal Bank Act application review process and the discretion of the Minister of Finance.

CHINA CONSTRUCTION BANK CORPORATION

APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A FOREIGN BANK BRANCH

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 525(2) of the Bank Act, that China Construction Bank Corporation, a foreign bank with its head office in Beijing, China, intends to apply to the Minister of Finance for an order permitting it to establish a foreign bank branch in Canada to carry on the business of banking.

The branch will carry on business in Canada under the name China Construction Bank Toronto Branch in the English form and Banque de construction de Chine succursale de Toronto in the French form, and its principal office will be located in Toronto, Ontario.

Any person who objects to the proposed order may submit an objection in writing to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, on or before Wednesday, November 23, 2011.

ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 254(2) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that Ukrainian Mutual Benefit Association of St. Nicholas of Canada (“UMBA”) intends to make an application to the Minister of Finance, on or after November 1, 2011, for approval of the reinsurance by Ukrainian Fraternal Society of Canada (“UFSC”), on an assumption basis, of all insurance policies issued or assumed by UMBA as more particularly described in the assumption reinsurance agreement to be entered into between UMBA and UFSC (the “Agreement”).
