PROPOSED REGULATORY TEXT

Notice is hereby given that the Governor in Council, pursuant to section 42 of the Tobacco Act (see footnote a), proposes to make the annexed Regulations Amending the Tobacco (Seizure and Restoration) Regulations.

Interested persons may make representations concerning the proposed Regulations within 75 days after the date of publication of this notice. REGULATIONS AMENDING THE TOBACCO (SEIZURE AND RESTORATION) REGULATIONS

AMENDMENT

1. Section 3 of the Tobacco (Seizure and Restoration) Regulations (see footnote 1) is replaced by the following:

3. A notice referred to in subsection 40(1) of the Act shall be served by registered mail on the Minister at least 15 clear days before the day on which the application for an order of restoration is to be made to the provincial court judge.

COMING INTO FORCE

2. These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
