THE JACQUES CARTIER AND CHAMPLAIN BRIDGES INCORPORATED

PLANS DEPOSITED

The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport under the Navigation Protection Act for approval of the plans and site of the work described herein. Under paragraph 5(6)(b) of the said Act, The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated has deposited with the Minister of Transport and at its place of business located at 1111 Saint-Charles Street West, West Tower, Suite 600, Longueuil, Quebec J4A 5G4, a description of the site and plans for the construction, under the Champlain Bridge (within its right-of-way), of a temporary jetty measuring approximately 350 m on the St. Lawrence River, starting from the east bank of île des Sœurs and composed of three openings of 35 m. This limited lifespan jetty, located in the borough of Verdun in Montréal, will allow access to the Champlain Bridge for maintenance and rehabilitation work.

These documents may be consulted during JCCBI’s business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 12:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation may be directed to the Manager, Navigation Protection Program, Transport Canada, 1550 D’Estimauville Avenue, Suite 401, Québec, Quebec G1J 0C8. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing and are received not later than 30 days after the date of publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.
