PLANS DEPOSITED

Windlectric Inc. (a subsidiary of Algonquin Power Co.) hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport under the Navigation Protection Act for approval of the plans and site of the work described herein. Under paragraph 5(6)(b) of the said Act, Windlectric Inc. has deposited with the Minister of Transport and in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of Lennox (No. 29), at 7 Snow Road, Napanee, Ontario K7R 3Y5, under deposit No. LA286055, a description of the site and plans for the construction of a temporary dock, a permanent dock and an electrical submarine cable in Lake Ontario (North Channel) near Bath, Ontario, in front of Concession 1, in part of Lots 35 to 37; Concession 1, Lot 23; and Broken Front Concession, Lots 23 to 26. For the construction of the wind project on Amherst Island (known as the Amherst Island Wind Energy Project), two docks must be built to allow for material and components to be transported by barge to the island. The mainland dock will be temporary; the island dock will be permanent. For the energy generated from the proposed Project to be exported from the island to the mainland, a permanent electrical submarine cable (115 kV) must be installed (to be placed on the bed of Lake Ontario between Amherst Island and the mainland).

Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation may be directed to the Manager, Navigation Protection Program, Transport Canada, 100 Front Street S, Sarnia, Ontario N7T 2M4. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing and are received not later than 30 days after the date of publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.
