LETTERS PATENT OF AMALGAMATION AND AMENDED LETTERS PATENT

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of section 233 of the Trust and Loan Companies Act (Canada), that AST Trust Company (Canada) and TSX Trust Company (together, the “Applicants”) intend to make a joint application to the Minister of Finance, on or after December 28, 2020, for letters patent of amalgamation continuing the Applicants as one company under the name “AST Trust Company (Canada)” in English and “Société de fiducie AST (Canada)” in French, and subsequently for the amalgamated company, AST Trust Company (Canada), to apply to the Minister of Finance for amended letters patent to change its name to “TSX Trust Company” in English and “Compagnie Trust TSX” in French. The head office of the amalgamated company would be located in Toronto, Ontario.

NOTICE OF INTENTION

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with paragraph 39.1(2)(a) of the Bank Act (Canada) [the “Act”], that on or after November 21, 2020, Bank One Canada (the “Bank”) intends to apply to the Minister of Finance (Canada) for approval of the Bank to apply for a certificate of continuance as a corporation under the Canada Business Corporations Act, in the proposed name of B-One Canada Corporation.

APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH AN INSURANCE COMPANY

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 25(2) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. intends to file with the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, on or after November 21, 2020, an application for the Minister of Finance to issue letters patent incorporating an insurance company to carry on the business of specialty and other lines of property and casualty insurance in Canada. Its head office will be located in Toronto, Ontario.

The proposed insurance company will carry on business in Canada under the legal names “Tokio Marine Canada Ltd.” in the English form and “Tokio Maritime Canada ltée” in the French form.

Any person who objects to the proposed incorporation may submit an objection in writing to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, on or before January 21, 2020.

Note: The publication of this notice should not be construed as evidence that letters patent will be issued to incorporate the property and casualty insurance company. The granting of the letters patent will be dependent upon the normal Insurance Companies Act (Canada) application review process and the discretion of the Minister of Finance.
