FARM PRODUCTS AGENCIES ACT

Whereas the Governor in Council has, by the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Proclamation (see footnote a), established the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers (the “Agency”) pursuant to subsection 16(1) (see footnote b) of the Farm Products Agencies Act (see footnote c);

Whereas the Agency has been empowered to implement a marketing plan pursuant to that Proclamation;

Whereas, pursuant to section 6 (see footnote d) of the schedule to that Proclamation, the Agency has applied the allocation system set out in Schedule “B” annexed to the Federal Provincial Agreement for Broiler Hatching Eggs;

Whereas the proposed Regulations Amending the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Quota Regulations are regulations of a class to which paragraph 7(1)(d) (see footnote e) of that Act applies by reason of section 2 of the Agencies’ Orders and Regulations Approval Order (see footnote f) and have been submitted to the National Farm Products Council pursuant to paragraph 22(1)(f) of that Act;

And whereas, pursuant to paragraph 7(1)(d) (see footnote g) of that Act, the National Farm Products Council has approved the proposed Regulations after being satisfied that they are necessary for the implementation of the marketing plan that the Agency is authorized to implement;

Therefore, the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers, pursuant to paragraph 22(1)(f) of the Farm Products Agencies Act (see footnote h) and subsection 5(1) of the schedule to the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Proclamation (see footnote i), makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Quota Regulations.

Regulations Amending the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Quota Regulations

Amendments

1 (1) The schedule to the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Quota Regulations (see footnote 1) is replaced by the schedule set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.

(2) The schedule to the Regulations is replaced by the schedule set out in Schedule 2 to these Regulations.

Coming into Force

2 (1) Subsection 1(1) comes into force on the day on which these Regulations are registered.

(2) Subsection 1(2) comes into force on January 1, 2018.
