BANK OF CHINA LIMITED
APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A FOREIGN BANK BRANCH
Notice is hereby given pursuant to subsection 525(2) of the Bank Act that Bank of China Limited, a foreign bank with its head office in Beijing, China, intends to apply to the Minister of Finance for an order permitting it to establish a foreign bank branch in Canada to carry on the business of banking.
The branch will carry on business in Canada under the name Bank of China, Toronto Branch in the English form and Banque de Chine, succursale de Toronto in the French form, and its principal office will be located in Markham, Ontario.
Any person who objects to the proposed order may submit an objection in writing to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, on or before June 26, 2012.
Note: The publication of this Notice should not be construed as evidence that an order will be issued to establish the foreign bank branch. The granting of the order will be dependent upon the normal Bank Act application review process and the discretion of the Minister of Finance.

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 25(2) of the Bank Act (Canada), that Canadian First Financial Holdings Limited (“Canadian First”), which presently owns Canadian First Financial Centres Limited and Canadian First Financial Insurance Services, an Ontario life insurance agency, and is associated with the Canadian First Financial Centres group of companies, intends to apply to the Minister of Finance, through its wholly owned subsidiary Canadian First Financial Capital Corporation, for letters patent incorporating a wholly owned bank to carry on the business of banking in Canada. Under section 9 of the said Act, Yves Therrien has deposited with the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and in the Land register of Quebec at the office of the District Registrar of Labelle, at Services Québec, at Mont-Laurier, Quebec, under deposit No. 19 061 017, a description of the site and plans for a water ski course in Lesage Lake, in the municipalities of La Minerve and Nominingue, province of Quebec. The GPS coordinates of the east entrance are 46°18′36″ N, 75°01′48″ W and those of the west entrance are 46°18′35″ N, 75°02′01″ W.
