Canada Fluorspar (NL) Inc. hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities under the Navigable Waters Protection Act for approval of the plans and site of the work described herein. Under section 9 of the said Act, Canada Fluorspar (NL) Inc. has deposited with the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and in the town office of the provincial electoral district of St. Lawrence, Newfoundland and Labrador, under deposit No. 8200-03-1221, a description of the site and plans for the construction of a wharf in Blue Beach Cove, Great St. Lawrence Harbour, St. Lawrence, Newfoundland and Labrador, located at 46°45.0′11.96″ N, 55°23.0′2.08″ W.

Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation may be directed to the Manager, Navigable Waters Protection Program, Transport Canada, P.O. Box 1300, John Cabot Building, 10 Barter’s Hill, St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador A1C 6H8. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing and are received not later than 30 days after the date of publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 25(2) of the Bank Act (Canada), that Canadian First Financial Holdings Limited (“Canadian First”), which presently owns Canadian First Financial Centres Limited and Canadian First Financial Insurance Services, an Ontario life insurance agency, and is associated with the Canadian First Financial Centres group of companies, intends to apply to the Minister of Finance, through its wholly owned subsidiary Canadian First Financial Capital Corporation, for letters patent incorporating a wholly owned bank to carry on the business of banking in Canada. Canadian First’s head office is in Toronto, Ontario.

The bank will carry on business in Canada under the name of RedBrick Bank in English and Banque de Brique Rouge in French, and its head office will be located in Toronto, Ontario.
