Notice is hereby given that the Governor in Council, pursuant to paragraph 17(a) of the Tobacco Act (see footnote a), proposes to make the annexed Regulations Amending the Tobacco Products Information Regulations (Miscellaneous Program).
Interested persons may make representations with respect to the proposed Regulations within 75 days after the date of publication of this notice. REGULATIONS AMENDING THE TOBACCO PRODUCTS INFORMATION REGULATIONS (MISCELLANEOUS PROGRAM)
AMENDMENT
1. Paragraph 11(b) of the English version of the Tobacco Products Information Regulations (see footnote 1) is replaced by the following:
- (b) in Helvetica bold type in black characters of 10 points on a white background, or, if it is impossible to display the information without occupying more than 70% of the surface on which it is to be displayed under paragraph (a), in a pitch that results in the information occupying not less than 60% of that surface; and
COMING INTO FORCE
2. These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
