CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL TRADE TRIBUNAL
INQUIRY
Instruments and laboratory equipment
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has received a complaint (File PR-2022-018) from GCPROC Ltd. (GCPROC), of Montréal, Quebec, concerning a procurement (Solicitation 01804-220556/A) made by the Department of Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC) on behalf of the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food. The solicitation was for the supply of insect rearing chambers capable of precise temperature and humidity control to raise laboratory colonies of live insects for laboratory experiments. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is given that the Tribunal made a decision on June 22, 2022, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint.
GCPROC alleges that its disqualification by PWGSC for failing to comply with two mandatory requirements of the solicitation was unjustified.
