His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Health, pursuant to section 37 of the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (see footnote a), makes the annexed Restraint Systems and Booster Seats for Motor Vehicles Regulations.

Requirement
General
1 Restraint systems and booster seats for motor vehicles described in column 1 of the table to this section must meet the requirements set out in the Parts of the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations that are mentioned in column 2.

A restraint system that keeps a child seated in a motor vehicle, with the exception of a seat belt that is a component of a vehicle or any replacement parts for such a seat belt. |
Part 2 |

A restraint system that keeps an infant seated in a motor vehicle. |
Part 3 |
3 |
A booster seat for use in a motor vehicle to seat a child in an elevated position in order to adapt an adult seat belt to the child. |
Part 4 |
Repeal
2 The Restraint Systems and Booster Seats for Motor Vehicles Regulations (see footnote 1) are repealed.
Coming into Force
Registration
3 These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
