CONTROLLED DRUGS AND SUBSTANCES ACT

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Health, pursuant to subsection 55(1) (see footnote a) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (see footnote b), makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Food and Drug Regulations (Parts G and J — Aminorex).

Regulations Amending the Food and Drug Regulations (Parts G and J — Aminorex)

Amendments

1 Item 9 of Part I of the schedule to Part G of the Food and Drug Regulations (see footnote 1) is replaced by the following:

• 9 Aminorex (5-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1,3-oxazol-2-amine), its salts, derivatives, isomers and analogues and salts of derivatives, isomers and analogues, including
  • (1) 4-Methylaminorex (4-methyl-5-phenyl-4,5- dihydro-1,3-oxazol-2-amine)
  • (2) 4,4’-Dimethylaminorex (4-methyl-5-(4- methylphenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1,3-oxazol-2- amine)

2 Item 14 of Part I of the schedule to Part J of the Regulations is repealed.

Coming into Force

3 These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are published in the Canada Gazette, Part II.
