FARM PRODUCTS AGENCIES ACT

Whereas the Governor in Council has, by the Canadian Egg Marketing Agency Proclamation footnote a, established the Canadian Egg Marketing Agency pursuant to subsection 16(1) footnote b of the Farm Products Agencies Act footnote c;

Whereas that Agency has been empowered to implement a marketing plan pursuant to that Proclamation;

Whereas that Agency has complied with the requirements of section 4 footnote d of Part II of the schedule to that Proclamation;

Whereas the proposed Regulations Amending the Canadian Egg Marketing Agency Quota Regulations, 1986 are regulations of a class to which paragraph 7(1)(d) footnote e of that Act applies by reason of section 2 of the Agencies’ Orders and Regulations Approval Order footnote f, and have been submitted to the National Farm Products Council pursuant to paragraph 22(1)(f) of that Act;

And whereas, pursuant to paragraph 7(1)(d)footnote e of that Act, the National Farm Products Council has approved the proposed Regulations after being satisfied that they are necessary for the implementation of the marketing plan that that Agency is authorized to implement;

Therefore, the Canadian Egg Marketing Agency, pursuant to paragraph 22(1)(f) of the Farm Products Agencies Act footnote c and section 2 of Part II of the schedule to the Canadian Egg Marketing Agency Proclamation footnote a, makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Canadian Egg Marketing Agency Quota Regulations, 1986.

Amendment

1 The heading of Schedule 2 to the Canadian Egg Marketing Agency Quota Regulations, 1986 footnote 1 is replaced by the following:

Limits to Vaccine Quotas for the Period Beginning on December 29, 2019 and Ending on December 26, 2020

Coming into Force

2 These Regulations come into force on December 29, 2019.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations.)

The amendment establishes the number of dozens of eggs that producers in Ontario and Quebec may market under vaccine quotas during the period beginning on December 29, 2019, and ending on December 26, 2020.
