REGULATORY IMPACT ANALYSIS STATEMENT
(This statement is not part of the Regulations.)
Issues
On June 27, 2014, the Standing Joint Committee for the Scrutiny of Regulations identified a discrepancy between the English and French versions of item 10 in the schedule to the Freezing Assets of Corrupt Foreign Officials (Ukraine) Regulations (the Regulations). While the English version refers to Artem Viktorovych Pshonka's father by both title and name, the French version refers to him only by title. The father's name, which is included in the English version, is Viktor Pavlovych Pshonka.
Objective
To correct a discrepancy between the French and English versions of the Regulations.
Description and rationale
The amendment adds the name of Artem Viktorovych Pshonka's father to item 10 of the schedule to the French version of the Regulations. This amendment corrects the discrepancy between the English and French versions of item 10 in the schedule to the Regulations.
One-for-one rule and small business lens
The one-for-one rule and small business lens do not apply, as there are no administrative impacts or costs associated with the amendment.
